A Sporting Life: Erin Mykleby

Erin MyklebyIowa-born swimmer and athlete Erin Mykleby has a lot of experience in a number of athletics departments over the years. All of that experience in her background continues to serve her well in her current position at St. Leo’s University, where she serves as the school’s Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement. In addition to acting as the athletics department liaison, Erin Mykleby also is actively involved in much of the department’s promotion.

A while back, when Erin Mykleby was earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Luther College, she also competed as part of the women's swimming and diving team or that school. Back in 2011, Erin earned Honorable Mention Academic All-American. Later on, Erin received a Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Iowa, where she also worked as a teaching assistant for the athletic program and as a supervisor for the undergraduate Sports Business Internship program. As a graduate intern with the Iowa athletic department in event management, Erin Mykleby managed athletic events, championships and other key athletic events.
